Hi all,

How critical is it to use a non-acidic environment for deving in pcat-hd and retaining stain? Do you all use water stop and alkaline fix, or is it not necessary? How about using water stop and rapid fix? Thanks in advance,

GB

I use a water rinse followed by an akaline or neutral pH rapid fixer (my rapid fixers are based on Ammonium Thiosulfate). That said, other Pyrocat users report good results with acid fixers.

BTW, some rapid fixers are alkaline pH, some are neutral pH.
