Probably the wrong forum to post this, but not sure where it fits. The center pin for my pc cord broke off in my contaflex, and since it has a cold shoe, it’s no longer able to fire a flash. Not the end of the world, since I do have other cameras, but if there’s any way to fix it, that would be preferable. It broke off too short to grab it with tweezers or anything. I tried hot glue, that didn’t work either. Tried magnets, but since the whole thing is steel, that’s doesn’t work. Not sure what else to try, other than drilling it out. Which is not happening. Any suggestions?

This should be in the REPAIR SUB-FORUM.

A photo would really help, but on many PC connections on cameras there is a small ring around the base which can be removed. Then the entire contact plug can be pulled out and replaced.

Clip a tiny bit off the end of a toothpick to make it flat. You may have to whittle it down a bit to ensure it goes down into the hole enough to touch the broken pin end. Spray the end with an aerosol adhesive and let it dry; try fishing it out with this tacky end.

I think I may just have to give up on ever firing a flash off my contaflex again. I just can’t get it out. Not only that, I rage purchased another contaflex off eBay. And the pc port was DOA! Anyone know of a repair shop that can replace the port?
