PaX M2 rangefinder cover removal??

Just curious if anyone has removed the rangefinder cover on the PaX M2 camera. The rangefinder split view does not move when the focus is adjusted.

Got it.

I never imagined that a camera could accumulate so many troubles. The aperture ring on the lens was frozen solid. The focus adjust was froze solid. The rangefinder was frozen, and the front lens element was installed backwards. The rewind knob was very difficult to turn. And finally the eyepiece elements and rangefinder mirrors were all fogged sumptin terrible. But now all is fine. A little elbow grease and gumption.
