Yesterday Silvergrain Classisc interviewed me and Lina for more than 90 Minutes.

From Silvergrain Classics:
Hear the story of how Mirko found himself with literally tons of film production line equipment on a truck and no place to put it, what it actually takes to produce film and photochemicals today, and how the decisions are made about what to produce.

And if you are wondering about new ADOX products, wonder no further— Super8 is in the works! Mirko also talks about medium format and why it hasn’t been available so far. Lina has her own take on what is involved in keeping the ADOX brand in good shape, many stories about what really goes on behind the scenes, and also speaks about her dual role as Mirko’s wife and an independent voice in the online community.

Mirko even spoke about the one product he would love to bring back more than any other, if it were possible… and we can dream, can’t we?

I am listening to this right now. Very interesting to learn how the “Behind the scenes” works on making film & paper. I will be happy to buy your products, if you can get them to Freestyle!

I've always loved hearing Mirko talk about film and Lina - there's a reason I call them the King and Queen of analog! Adorable couple, great podcast! Really a good reminder of how much we should appreciate what we have. I was out shooting CHS ii last weekend in 4x5 and, my word, the film is so damn beautiful! I've got some CMS, more CHS 35mm, Lupex, XT-3, and the last Silvermax somewhere in the mail too. I'm very thankful to have these! Thank you for all you all do and your passion for film!

What's the timeframe for the super 8 film mentioned? I am assuming it's not coming soon?
If there will be an ADOX version depends on the question if we manage to machine perforating tools ourselves. The manufacturer of the machines cannot do this any longer. Our curent limitation is the amount of tools we have which define the lifetime of the entire line. If we were to perforate TAC we are talking millions of meters of film. If we use the TAC tools on PET we are cut to tens of thousands only. This is such a waste that we currently do not perforate PET film. Making TAC film just for Super8 is price prohibitive. So we have been lookig into tool making over the past few years. Lately we found an option but tests are not yet completed.

thanks for the show. you neglected to talk about the Adox Lupex. seems to be available now.
