I would like to use photo paper to make negatives with an 8 X 10 camera to later make cyanotype prints. Does anyone have any suggestions about which photo paper might work best, based on their experience. Obviously I would not want any watermarks or branding to show on my print.

I haven't tried it, but I think you are going to need one looooong exposure. Try a bit of whatever RC paper you have hanging about and see what happens - or doesn't.

Cyanotypes are exposed with UV. Most any paper is going to be a real UV blocker.

Although many people tout the values of doing this with RC papers, I prefer fibre based papers. Freestyle carries Slavich Unibrom in single weight. Even the double weight of these papers is not very heavy. The single weight works beautifully. There is no need to wax it for transparency. Use grade 2 for most images on cyanotype. If you move to a printing process requiring more contrast just use a higher grade paper.
