Paper exchange?

Everyone is often talking about the new paper they just tried, or looking for a similar type of paper from something that was discontinued. I know papers can be bought in packs of 25, and this allows most people to test a paper and see if they like it, but sometimes I’m still reluctant to purchase multiple packs to just sample what’s out there.

What do you think about an on going paper exchange? Since most of us probably only work with a few papers, and buy in bulk, this would allow us to test some new papers fairly cheaply. Anyway, let me know what you think about this.

After running such a test once with several 25-sheet packs I tried selling off the extra paper to someone else who might want to do such a test, and I didn't get any takers, though it seemed like a good idea at the time. I ended up using up the paper and giving some of it away.

I would be happy to send you 6-8 sheets of some of the papers I have that I decided I didn't like. Right now I think I have some Canson cold press, but I can't remember the exact size (smaller than 11x14 for certain). I'll have the info after work though. Just shoot me a PM with what you have to trade and we can work something out. That goes for anyone else who would like to trade some paper around as long as shipping cost doesn't get overly prohibitive.
