Panoramic Photography Books

I've been spending a bit of time at photo-eye lately and I've compiled a list of photography books that are either enterly panoramics or have a lot of them.

All of these I would buy for my collection. I only have the titles. Sorry.

David, I have Canyonland Vision..by David H Gibson. He is a local guy, Dallas, and is one of the most pleasant people I have ever met. If memory serves me correctly he has another book out as well, but don't recall the name of it. Seems like he shoots with a Horseman, using a 6x12 back but don't quote me on that. Have seen many of the prints from the book in person and they are very nice. Check the ValleyHouse Gallery in Dallas, (sorry don't have the web site marked) they have quite a bit of his work there.

I've seen DHG's work at photoeye too. Very nice. I think you are right about the gear.

I do own Sinsabaugh's book "American Horizon" and I forgot to mention the pentii books, especially archipelago which is self published and beautiful.

I would also suggest "Prague Panoramic" by Joseph Sudek. Although, it may be out of print.

Touchstones is Tillman Crane's current book. I have it and like it. I don't know what the current availability is though. Check his website.

I would second Pentti Sammallahti.

Koudelka's "Chaos" is fantastic.

Harder to find in the US, although Photoeye has it, is Henrik Saxgren's "Pylonia".

I picked up Lee Frost's Panoramic Photography (David & Charles, 2005) recently; it's a combination of useful info and terrific images.

Jay Dusrad

Jay Dusard's Open Country. Many photo's taken with a 4x10 format camera.

Originally published over 10 years ago - likely out of print, but if you can find it get it... wonderfully printed.

yes. definitely Prague Panoramic and also Sudek's Sad Landscape. Possibly Koudelka's Chaos. Geoffrey James' Campagna Romana and also his Italian Villas (latter not all panos)

I would suggest Andris Apse (http://www.andrisapse.com/). His book "New Zealand Landscapes" is quite stunning.
