Pan F ?

Hi, I have in program to use a roll of Ilford Pan F but I'm not sure of what type of developement I should use to achieve a contrasted result beside the exposition. What do you think about it? I'm going to shoot some panoramas of the Sea, do you think an orange filter is enough to enhance the blue of sky and sea?

I've used it with no filter and developing in ID-11 (1+1). I can't really say that I get high contrast results. But they are quite good and nicely controllable. I do wish I had a yellow and/or red filters then (I was taking some pictures of the sky and clouds).
I have since sent a roll of to a local lab and got some pretty amazing results. They said they used some in-house made D-76 and I'm guessing it was developed with "stock" (??) concentration. Contrast was definitely more accentuated and gorgeously so. Haven't had a chance to try my ID-11, in "stock", with it though. I have a couple of rolls left that I might be doing this. Here's to hoping to get results that are close to the lab's...

The filters will definitly help bring out detail in the sky, all depending on the conditions of course. Also pan f is a pretty high contrast film to begin with, when I develop it with HC110 dilution B I get quite a bit of contrast, not sure if thats because of the film or the developer is contributing.

Just remember that an orange filter will reduce the iso by 2 stops, greatly limiting your shutter speed or field depth.
