Does anyone have a source for Packard shutter hose and bulbs other than E-bay and the Packard people. Where is everyone getting this stuff? I need to outfit three packard's.

you might see if your local medical supply house
has blood pressure hose and bulbs. they are *cheap*
and from what i have been told, they work very well.
Agree with previous post - "sphygmomanometer" is the word, the finest that China can make. I used one to refit a Victorian Newman shutter, worked great.
I went to the auto supply place and picked a hose that was the right size. I went to Radio shack and got a solder bulb. Poked a hole in it. I'm sure other places have similar bulbs for less then Radio shack.

John, that is what I'm looking for. I just have to find a medical supply house. I guess I'll have to try in Los Angeles. Oh, that is good as I recall there is a huge hospital complex down the street from Freestyle. Guess I'd better go to the medical supply before I hit Freestyle. Thanks to all.
Dave, I checked out the site. Thanks for the link. I have three to build so I'm going to look for a cheaper alternative. If I am unsuccessful I will go to Packard. Thanks again.
Jim,
If you have the hose but no bulb try using your lungs and mouth, gives you real good control over shutter speed.
Packards are so easy to move, it's a different story if it was a Studio shutter.
I prefer the bulb that's designed for Packard Shutter because of ease for continuous open position - remove wooden stopper; hold finger over opening; squeeze bulb; then remove finger. Shutter stays open while focusing. I just ordered my third shutter from Packard Shutter & Reno's workmanship is excellent - great product.
can get you a battery filler syringe and the proper sized hose to connect the bulb to the shutter. I cut a length off the syringe fill tube, just because it's a bit too long for easy handling. I think less than $5 for all, as I recall.

Jim... a suggestion: call around first. I've "been there, tried that" in Los Angeles. The medical supply places on the West Side only had the option of buying a new blood pressure cuff; No repair parts were stocked. There are a couple of supply shops in the SFV, but I never checked them.
My cheap solution was to get an infant nose syringe at the local drug store and mate that with a piece of automotive vacuum hose. Looks a bit odd, but works fine.
Brian, I checked on line and found exactly what you describe. I can find the bulb but no hose. The auto supply houses stock a hose that is ok but the medical ones are much more flexible. Guess I'll keep looking. Thanks.
