DigitalTruth gives me T-Max 3200 @ 1600 ISO in Diafine. Anyone used Diafine w/P3200 @ 3200? thanks and cheers, sam

It looks pretty thin at 1600 IMHO. TriX in Diafine is alot better than P3200. If you need 3200 I think a different developer is the way to go.

I agree with Vic. Diafine and P3200 combined just do not produce good negatives. T-Max developer works well, and I suspect X-tol would be a good choice. I think the pre-hardened T-Max emulsion just doesn't soak up enough Diafine-A to give the emulsion the needed juice. P3200 seems to respond well to a longer developing time in a single-bath developer.

Diafine rates P3200 at 1200, I would shoot at 800, my best guess is that
P3200 has a very thin emulsion so not much A developer soaks in. Over the years effective film speed with Dianfine has decreased as emulsions are now thinner. Perhaps a longer soak in A may give you higher speed. I rate P3200 at 1600 and use Clayton F76 or DDX.
