I shot a 135 test roll of IR820, souped it in D-76 stock and all was well. So I shot a roll in 120 and got this problem:
That's a neg-scan, and the spots really are little dense spots in the emulsion; they're not dirt. As usual, I had floaties in my D76 but ignored them - they generally dissolve when I mix up the final solution 1+1 but of course this was souped in stock so they were never actually dissolved - oops.
Could that have been the cause? The 135 roll was souped with floaties, though not quite as many, and came out perfectly.
Edit: and the edge-markings are really blurry as if they were printed on through a diffuser. No real problems with sharpness of the image though.
