To piggyback off my other thread, outsourcing wise... is there ANY labs out there where I can send my 120 C41/E6 roll to, they develop and scan the film at enough quality to print 11x17 and then the lot back to me? Ive seen some like dwaynes that do close to that, but theres not alot said about the scans...

You can find labs to do it, if you want to pay the price. Google is your friend.

Most pro labs will do just what you are looking for. Soup, scan and burn to a disk. Try a few different ones because I have seen some "pro" labs around here that suck at scanning. Costco does a better job than these clowns. Cost ranges from $18 - $20 a roll from my experience.

Generally speaking if you are only paying $20 or less for a roll I suspect you are getting a batch scan (fully automated w/ little human input) on what is probably less than great scanner.

and just to follow up on that (with an Indian based company doing scans of 35mm on Coolscans in mind) I think its timely to point out what we all know, and that is: a poorly operated scan on a top scanner will likely look worse than a well handled scan on a decade old Epson 3200 flatbed.
