Out of date Tetenal Colortec E6 kits

I found that I had a kit that was manufactured in Mid 2019. After researching the common information the the self life unopened and stored correctly is two years.

There were comments that ranged from not using it to large color shifts and contrast problems. However I never found a thread or site that someone actually developed their E6 with a kit that is four years past the accepted 2 yrs after expiration.

So looking at my chemicals the bottles were full and the colors looked correct.

So I figured I would give it a try.

I found IN MY CASE that in fact the chemicals remained stable after 6 years after mfg.

I plan on using it as fast as I can just in case the chemicals degrade faster after opening them

They're going to err on the side of caution. If, after mixing it up. it works as it should, it can be expected to last as long, work as well, as they initially claimed.
