Hello!

I have a box of four bottles of Kodak Technidol and only one roll of Technical Pan 120.
Can I use the rest of the Technidol for something else, possibly my Agfaorthos?
I wouldn't want to pour it away, the resale value for the three extra bottles is also is not much, I also doubt that people have lots of rolls of TP laying around.
So, what to do?
Thanks.

It has value, there are a lot of tp and technidol hoarders who could use it. Also, tp 120 shows up on ebay fairly frequently.

Good Morning Angfenglin,

Technidol works beautifully with T-Max 100 for night shots. I use one bottle to make a 10 oz. solution instead of the Kodak recommendation of 8 ounces. For drum development of four 4 × 5 sheets, my time will vary ± 10 minutes depending on my perceived memory of the scene contrast.

When I recently sold some TP 120 on the bay, the bidding went mad! and there are two rolls up there now for 20€

I am sure that your Technidol still has value.

The alternative would be to test it with Adox CMS 20 II which has many qualities similar to TP.

Bests,

David.

Yeah, I've seen them, that's too pricy for me for just two rolls. I'll try selling the developer once I processed my roll, if nobody wants it I'll try something else.
I don't have and like Tmax 100 but a lot of other 100s, Agfas, Orwos and such, so getting more 100 speed film is out for me.

I've had no luck so far with Agfaorthos, all recommended recipes for Rodinal did not work too great and so far I have not tried developing one in Caffenol which I like a lot btw.
If I remember correctly, I have two rolls left, stored in the freezer. Now that spring is coming, I can use 50 and 25 speed film again so I wanted to use them again.
If I could use the remaining Technidol for them, that would be great.

That's a shame, and also surprises me, as I have 20+ bottles of Technidol that must be 20+ years old, and the developer is still active. My understanding is that the active ingredients are mixed in diethylene glycol, which ensures long shelf life. So I'm still interested in the initial question re: other uses for Technidol.
