The information regarding these can be a bit muddied. The Osaka cameras were sold by Bromwell marketing. they were made by Tachihara but had some features removed to hit a slightly lower price point. The finish on the wood, and all of the metal parts look exactly like a Tachihara. I have seen 1 sample for sale that actually had an "Osaka" label on it. The label was the same color and the font used was the same as the Tachihara label.
This particular sample is in really nice shape imo. There is a bit of leather/leatherette delamination on the bellows as seen in the pictures. The right side is worse for some reason. There are zero light leaks.
All movements are smooth and lock down tightly. You may see some nay saying regarding the rigidity of these cameras. I found this one to be pretty solid.
From a Bromwell pamphlet:
" Osaka 8x10, Independent front and rear focusing, reversing back with fresnel screen and printed grid. Available in either double extension (22-1/2" bellows) or triple..."
This is a double extension model. There is no rear shift. There is a bit of rear swing due to the mechanics of the focusing. Front has rise, swing and tilt. Rear has tilt. I think the movements are really close or the same as the specs for the Tachihara 810D.
I will include a Chamonix lens board adapter from 140x140mm to Technika.
I will include a fairly rudimentary homemade 4x5 reduction back. It is not a graflok back, but it will at least let one use 4x5 film if so desired.
I am selling because I acquired a Canham 8x10 and I cannot justify keeping 2 8x10 cameras.
$1300 shipped, insured and fee'd (paypal) within the US. I will sell internationally, but I will have to add a bit for shipping. Likely just an extra $25.
