I have recently ran into a problem of supply. I was just informed by Freestyle that Arista would no longer be manufacturing ortho litho film needed for many alternative processes. Anyone know of another manufacturer still making the film. Thanks.

I believe you can buy Ilford Ortho Plus somewhere (I know only UK sources).
There is a bunch of other orthochromatic film available in 8x10 (and 4x5) format

On the other hand, if you are looking for print film for negative enlargement, here is some cheap stuff

Also take a look at these guys:

I have never used them, but they are said to be good.

Any half decent graphic arts supplier, seriously. Try Valley Litho Supply in Wisconsin.

Although graphic arts films will become harder and harder to find, technical 'line film' is still used in printed circuit board manufacturing and for the production of precision optical masks.

Dead Link Removed

I have not tried these films with continuous tone processing, as with Soemarko LC-1 developer, or with reversal processing for enlarged negatives.

If you are looking for enlarged negatives the direct positive X-Ray duplicating film works well, IMO. X-Ray film is also giving way to digital, so availability for this product is also dicey.

Thanks Nicholas. I've not had an MRI or xray that was on film in many years!

don't buy the xray dupe film from ultrafine; you can get it much cheaper through suppliers like zz medical
the price for 100 sheets 8x10 is about $60 plus shipping
Best, Peter
