Original Colorama posters

Today, Sam Campanero one of the Kodak Colorama photographers asked me to make a post for him.

He has approximately 100 colorama posters, 16" x 36" that he is willing to sell as numbered autographed personalized editions. This particular poster is the famous baby Colorama with the group of babies.

If there is sufficient response, he might be able to make other Colorama images available. He has been given Kodak's permission for the sale of this particular image for the present.

He has tentatively set the price at $100 plus postage and handling.

Your responses would be appreciated. Based on response in this thread, Sam will either go ahead, or not. If the response is great enough he will attempt to make other Colorama images available.

For those interested, Sam was featured in a recent PBS special on the Colorama photography in which he and others discussed the ULF cameras used in this work.

At this point, I have no idea. Sorry. I'll try to get the information. I believe they are lithographs though.

The exact poster dimensions are 11" x 39". Sam sent me those this AM. I have asked him what kind of print it is.

I must admit until now I only had a faint idea of these images: very, very large; Central Station; Kodak playing on US-American values…
Though, looking at those images I guess some of them could have hung in an European station.

Dealer coloramas, perhaps

I worked for a Kodak dealer for many years. We were established in 1890 and we never tossed anything away. I gathered all of the dealer coloramas and huge black and white prints once offered by Kodak to its dealers, because i could not bear to see them tossed.

i would be very interested in knowing why these images; all are printed on the print stocks of the time, do not seem to have much value. I own hundreds of these images.
