Only One Camera and Lens Challenge

I have been pretty much only shooting my N90s with a Tamorn 28-200 on it and a SB-24 when I need the flash. I have been using this setup for over 6 months with Kodak Elitechrome 400 unless I need a specialty camera and film, like when I SCUBA dive or something like that. For in the water I use a Nikonos V with a 15mm below the water, and a 35mm above.

I will admit that a few weeks ago I used my N65 with a Nikkor 28-200 and it's internal flash and Portra 160NC, only because my wife said I needed color negative film so that I could get it scanned for her.

This weekend we are going to a water park, my wife and I will both be shooting with Nikonos V's with 35mm lenses and the kid will have a Canon WP-1 and I will envy the kid for having auto advance. The wife will be getting Portra 160 NC, I will have Portra 160 VC, and the kid will have Kodak Gold 400. Still there will be a lot of dry activities and for those I will be bringing, you guessed it, the N90s with a Tamron 28-200 and the SB-24, only I don't care what the wife says I am putting slide film in it and I will scan it for her, the slides will probably be E100VS. We are going to Sesame Place, and I believe that I will want color film that really pops.

Which version of the Tamron 28-200 are you using? (model #)

Probably my Hasselblad kit, I don't use it as much as I should, and to be forced to, would be pretty good.

I have the Macro, I don't have it with me, but I will check tonight, I like this lens better than the Nikkor 28-200 that I have.

well, not a 35mm sorry...my one I'd keep no matter what is definitely my hasselblad system. I inherited it and it is my fav. overall that I have and use.

I'll be taking a basic photo course at the local community college this fall, mainly to gain access to a proper darkroom, and the camera/lens combo I plan on using is my Nikon F3 with a 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor.

For the past week or so, I've been lugging around the F5 with the 85/1.8 AI'd Nikkor. At the moment, since the Spottie has no lens, my only shooter is the F5, since I've sold every other Nikon body off. Literally, I am down to one camera. Granted, I've been too busy with other projects, that I haven't really done any photography over the past couple weeks.

I use a 35mm lens with my Bronica; and a 50mm lens with my Mamiya RB6X7

Sticking with the theme of the thread again, for 35mm it's simple. Without a doubt, the Contax G2 and the 21mm. Sure there are plenty of shots I'd have to pass on because it's TOO wide, but I've also seen where when traveling, 70% of my shots in a day were made with that lens, which translates into 2+ rolls per day. For film, it used to be Fuji Reala - now it's Ektar 100.

Absolutely amazing! I posted the original challenge here 5 years ago! Interesting thing is that now I'm torn between my original choice of a Nikon F3HP/MD4 with 35mm 2.0 AIS and my Nikon F with FTN metered prism/ 50mm 1.4 AIS. While the focal length is different, the 50 seems to have been created for the F. The more I use my old F, the more I love it! I sometimes feel like I'm cheating on my F3HP when I use my old F!

Easy for me. Bessa R3M and Nokton 40/1.4. I would substitute the flash for my digisix. I only own two cameras and two lenses. The Bessa and a Mamiya C220 with 80/2.8 and I am contemplating finding a good home for the Mamiya as I hardly use it and haven't for months.

Big difference in film size though. The C220 is a classic and venerable workhorse. My wedding was shot with a C220 many years ago!

I agree. My C220 is also in great shape and it's an awesome camera. I also have a paramender for it, but I almost feel like it is going to waste sitting around while I use my Bessa. I have only contemplated it, it's not for sale yet .

I've grown to enjoy street shooting and I love being able to stick my R3M, digisix, a couple rolls of film, two filters, some bottles of water, and sandwich in my F-2 and be able to carry it around for hours or a whole day at a time without any problem.

I will go with OM-1 and a 35mm zuiko.

Tempting to say my Nikon F2AS with 50mm f2 chrome nose Nikkor but for sheer flexibility, lightness and the recent CLA it would have to be the Canon A-1 with 50mm f1.4. Program, AP, SP and meterless manual modes for my sunny 16 moments.

Today it would be Canon EOS 1V with 24-70mm f2.8L lens... And Arista EDU Ultra 400 in XTOL.
Tomorrow it could be a different camera.

Doing this, except I'm using two lenses. A 35mm rangefinder, with a 35mm and a 50mm lens.
Packed away the Hassey.
Packed away the Pentax.
Packed away the pinhole.
Packed away the 5x7.
For one year.

Helps me focus on the pictures instead of the camera, and THAT is a good thing.
