We've an almost virgin deVere 5x7" enlarger for sale. 3 heads ( dichroic, B&W, point source) 3 lenses, and 6 neg carriers. It's the free-standing floor version. It's dismantled into several boxes. If you know deVere, you'll know why it would cost $400-500 to ship it anywhere other than somewhere in Tassie, and why I'm not listing it in the FS section. Also, we'd be happy/prefer to assemble it in someone's darkroom. Speaking of which, it needs a high ceiling - 2.4m is only just enough..

However, we'll be crossing over on The Spirit soon, so could deliver it to Melbourne.

Raoul, think outside of the square.

If you wish for biggish enlargements, then drop the drop table down a few notches, whilst keeping the head below it's maximum height.

I have the 5x4 version, maybe a trade up all round?

Marc, my missus hasn't read this or the other thread on the same subject. :whistling:

This is the smallest enlarger for 120 6x17 negatives, best done in between glass as no amount of removable magic tape can hold one of these negs flat.

Didn't Shane pick up one of these recently?

Mick.

Mick, I'm keen on a 4x5, for B&W, don't care whether it's condensor/diffuser or a colour head.

DeVere 504 owner here in USA. If you care about enlargers these are some of the most solid out there. I use it for everything.

The quality's certainly not in doubt.

The price, however, certainly is!!

Strange that we can't find out how much this is...

We've been PMing someone about this enlarger, who is very keen to add another to his stable. He's not now able to continue for a personal reason. He's seen the 29 pix relative to the condition etc and may wish to comment.

The price delivered and assembled into a Melbourne suburb is $1,000**. Included with it are a voltage regulator and voltage stabiliser. PM me your email address and I'll send pix.

** transporting this will occupy a fair chunk of space in our motorhome - we'd want to unload it the same day we arrive in Melbourne. If you're out-of-town there might be a problem.

pardon irrelevancy, but "crossing over on the Spirit" has a Biblical ring to it, probably makes sense to Tassies, I assume it's the ferry?
