Here's 2 of my contact frames under my $50 tanning bed. I've had 3 frames under there at once and could fit more (or 1 or 2 REALLY big ones.) It seems a great waste of energy to put one contact print under there, so I always try to do a batch. The only difficulty being keeping track of which ones get 6 minutes, which 7 and a half, which 12 or whatever. Just have to stay organized and pay attention.
Menard's has some small 18" 15W black light bulbs. I think they're BLB. Has anyone built a UV exposure box using these bulbs? They seem to be perfect for a new under-counter box for 11x14 prints that I've been thinking about, but I don't want exposure times to go up too far compared to the more usual 20w BLB bulbs.
I have a box I made from BLB fixtures. I am not at home now so cannot look at it, but I am 99.9% sure that they are 15 watt and my exposure times for pt/pd are about 7 minutes or less, depending. 20 watt would be faster, but I do not know how much faster. I do not think 7 minutes is bad.
