As has been discussed in other threads, I have many medium Tele macro lenses. Tonight I added one more. It's a 105/2.8 Kiron in Konica AR mount. If my count is right, I have three 105/4 Hexanon bellows lenses (and one Auto Helicoid), two 90/2.8 Panagors and both versions of the 90/2.5 Tamron SP. I have never used the Tamrons with any Konicas. Some Tamron Adaptall II lenses work properly with Konicas and some do not. There is another issue with Konicas and non-Konica lenses. The T3, T3N and A3 do not work properly with most of them. I have two Konica cameras which were modified years ago by having Nikon E (grid) screens installed in them. One is an Autoreflex T2 and the other is an FT-1. These were modified primarily for macro work but also work nicely with slower zoom lenses. There is a chance that the Kiron will work with the T3, T3N and A3 but even if it doesn't, it's a more modern design than the other macro lenses in this range that I have for my Konicas. Somewhere out there is a Vivitar 90/2.5 Series 1 Macro also in Konica mount but I have one of those in Canon FD mount and that's enough for me. The 105 Hexanons do not get into the macro range with the Auto Helicoid but I have used the combination for some portraits and general picture taking. They are more useful on a bellows.
