On lens flash search

Insomnia sucks, it makes you watch bad television. I ended up watching "the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" (for the fine and deep social commentary of course). Anyway a photographer was using an on lens ring flash that was HUGE. it was an aluminum reflector that bounced the light back at the model. The strobes were behind a black shield so no light was sent straight at the model. It was all reflected back at her.

What was this product? It was cool and put out a hell of a lot of even reflected light. No visible hot spots.

Just looked at the Alien Bee one and that is the right idea and it is probably a modern improvement. The one I saw was of much cruder design. It might be an older version.
