I am hoping some more experienced in on-camera flash can give some old traditional hard fast rules to using on camera flash. Like for outdoor fill flash, the ratio between the ambient and flash, Or indoor bounce flash, dark walls/ceiling, or the distance from flash to wall to subject, and how much to add, compared to the settings on the flash. I use to have a flash meter along with all the off camera flash gear, and had a good understanding of how to use it. I am now using a sunpak 544 on camera with 35mm, 6x6, and 4x5

Would like to learn more about the old traditional ways of setting on camera flash.
