If I recall correctly (never a given), this is a rebranded Rodenstock Roganar, a tessar-type lens formula. Like the Companar/vs Componon, the Roganar/vs Rodegan is not just lens elements, but the fact that they are optimized for smaller enlargement ratios.

It would be slightly oversize in focal length for 6x6, which would be a "good thing" for this dinosaur. The old lab rats told me always to use an enlarging lens of slightly longer focal length for a neg.

If I needed a lens in this focal length, I would buy it without hesitation. I don't need one in that length, tho.
