Hi,

I have been using my "new" D6 for a while mainly with large negative (665 and 6x9). This weekend I began to reprint my pinhole.
They are 35 negative and I loose focus with the compressed bellows.
Upsetting... to say the least.
I fixed the problem by using a 105 mm but it's quite a big enlargment for an 11x14. Today tried with a 80 mm, same issue, focus doesn't hold a bit.

What can I do ?
Which kind of screwdriver (if any) can I use to block that F.... !

Thanks for any advice.

Guillaume

Vinny, I have a turret with 3 lens.

Hi Guillaume,
You can check with Omega (service guy = Greg) but I think the answer to this question is a 63mm lens. 50mm lenses do have a problem focusing for larger print sizes on a turret. As Wildbill suggests above a single lens board / disc combo will allow focus with a 50.

You need a different cone for each major range of sizes, 35mm, MF and LF. I have 3 cones and things work just fine. With a turret, there are or were extenders that took the place of cones.

I figured out by myself how to remove the turret... I'm blind sometime !
And now the 50 mm stays in focus...
Thank you very much !!!

Guillaume

Well, the tab you pull on to slide out the turret is not exactly labeled "pull" (and it is black to to boot). If you are having trouble getting the 80mm to focus something is not right. The 63 will work, (at least it has for me) although with the column height of a D6 I would imagine that the 80 would be fine for printing 35mm. The 63 El Nikkor is a wonderful lens though and well worth having.
