Omega D5

Am looking for set of spring clips that hold the lens board to the lens stage. Any ideas anyone ?

I have a D5 and live in New Albany. I'll look at mine and see how they are made. If they are relatively simple I could probably get one of our tool and die makers fabricate a set. Shoot me a PM so I will have your contact information.

You might try KHB in Canada if all else fails, I have occasionally seen scrapped enlargers on Ebay.

Go to Classic Enlargers. Or, if you are handy, you can purchase stainless steel strip material at a local hobby shop. I think K&S is the popular brand.

Classic Enlargers does not list a lot of parts for the D5, D6, D5500, most of the parts they have are used and their inventory was at least partially created by parting out enlargers. Although I think Harry did buy all the remaining stock of enlarger parts that Omega had after Omega was bought by the Saunders Group.

KBH in Canada, which I mentioned earlier has a lot of parts, they were the Canadian distributor for Omega for many years, I browsed their parts list and didn't the springs you need but drop them and email and see what they have.

I am more or less looking for the same part, but for a D2. I contacted Classic Enlargers about it, as they have helped me out several times, with great service. Sadly enough i was informed that they are out of business.

Which leaves KBH. Also contacted them about the part, but they did not reply on my request... I improvised a repair, but it could use a more permament solution.

You'll probably get more responses if you start a new thread for your D2 needs. D2 cones turn and lock in maybe a piece of foam rubber could provide enough tension for this application. Depends on how often you change lenses.

Harry passed away earlier this year, RIP. He was in his nineties.
