My guess is, that no, it won't work. However I already bought it without testing it. My D2 uses a chromegatrol. I had such high hopes. I gave away my time-o-light to the local college thinking I had another one.

Damn me for not thinking ahead!

Has anyone been able to get this combination to work? I love my D-II. Plus it was my dad's in WWII. Love my D2 too but for other things. I just need a timer for my DII. I have a gray lab, but that's just not very user friendly for enlargers.

Thanks in advance...

Dorothy

Ahhh! Sweet! The light bulb burned out! ha ha! now.... where'd i put the spare?

The lamp that sits on the Condenser head is pretty simple, just a lamp socket with a wire coming out of it. Should be an easy fix, or another one could be had for very cheap. The CT40 should work fine with the condenser head.

Hi Dale, the D-II has a condensor which is what i wanted to use because it is sharper. I figured out what was wrong. the cord coming out of the enlarger is loose and if you wiggle it, it shorts out.

Too many things going on at once I guess. Silly me!

Inside the head should be a socket like this to which a new cord can be fastened; very similar to repairing a lamp:

I have a Time-O-Lite P-72 you can have for $20 shipped to your door. It's a modern one that is grounded and has a jack for remote start(but no remote).

Thanks Rick and Dale, I don't think I need another timer though. Everything seems to be working now, except for the cord which i can have repaired. But one more question. How do you turn off the timer? I didn't see a button that says "off". I'm just not ready for digital in any way shape or form!
