Going to grab an enlarger again and start printing again. Have a line on a Omega D-2 and an option for a Super Chromega Dichro II for 50 bucks more. Is it worth having the extra bang out of the Super? Never used a color head before, only BW.

Go for the Super Chromega. I use the color head for multigrade black & white prints. I plan to get back into color printing soon.

A big advantage is the diffuse light which can make using a glass carrier much more manageable. The dichroic filters are also a plus if you print with multigrade paper.

But make sure all 3 filters in the Chromega are intact.

Or at least the Yellow and Magenta. The Cyan is not used in B&W printing.

Generally, the Cyan is not used in color negative printing either.

CHROMEGA gets my vote

Got the dichro. Loving it! Still trying to get used to dialing in the contrast with the head but I'm getting it. Slowly.
