I was wondering if anyone here could help me figure out what the problem is here. I recently got a omega c760 second hand but still nib with a brand new El Nikkor f2.8 35mm enlarging lense. I went to go make some prints the other day but found when I enlarged the negative onto the baseboard it was extremely out of focus and blurry no matter how much I adjusted the height of the bellows. I also tried with different negatives and nothing changes. I’m completely lost at what could be causing this problem and was wondering if anyone could offer advice.

Also if people want to see what it looks like I can post pictures once I get off work.

See p 9 of the instruction manual:

http://www.jollinger.com/photo/cam-coll/manuals/enlargers/omega/C760 Modular Enlarger System.pdf

Paragraph 6 under Lens Mounting:

"...Due to the varied back focal distances of 50mm lenses, some will require the use of the recessed lens mount in place of the flat lensmount"

So that's one thing to check. If your enlarger has only the flat lens mount and didn't come with the recessed/extended lens mount that was also included in the original box, you might try KHB Photografix to see if they can still supply it:

Thanks I think that may be the issue. When setting it up I think I misread the directions and used the wrong lens mount. I'll change it later and see if that was the problem.

You were right the wrong lens mount was on so I switched it and now it works perfectly
