OM-1 film advance needs fixing - but how?

I have a cosmetically poor OM-1MD on which the film advance mechanism has packed up. The advance lever has no resistance to it and doesn't feel connected to anything any more. I'd appreciate any starters on how to fix it!

Your camera needs an overhaul (possibly stripped wind pawl). I'd be happy to do the work if you send it. John
