I purchased this XA4 a few months ago from a member over at RFF, shot a roll through it, and it stopped firing. I'm not that tied to it or else I'd have it repaired.

I contacted Olympus about it, and they offered me 20% off of anything in their online store in trade for the nonworking camera. If you're in the market for an OMD EM1 or any of the higher end Oly lenses, it's a significant discount.

Comes with original manual; can include original leash for the right deal. Condition is 9/10. Asking $125 shipped.

Pictures will be up this evening.

It is my understanding that the XA line in cameras are becoming very popular and the XA4 is a semi-rare item these days as they were only manufactured for a year. i have seen them pop up more and more on the Japancamerahunter "in your bag" section, so I guess they have become very popular with a certain camera "clique" at least. My advice is keep it because it really is a great compact camera with a superb lens. i have one and it is excellent.

I find it interesting that Olympus wants the camera. Do they repair and resell them? If so, where?

I also have one and use it heavily. For me the wider lens, close focusing, and ability to take 1600 speed film set it apart from the other models.

Is it a different lens than the XA?

olympus is willing to give him a 20 percent discount on it for any new camera in their line because they mark them up so much (Man sug retail price) they can do that and still make money. They just want to get an old plastic film camera off the market and sell him new.

As to the camera itself, if it don't work, buddy, your price is a tad bit optimistic.
