i received an olympus xa3 off the auction site told to be in working order but shutter goes off all on its own even when the clamshell is closed without hitting the shutter button tried to return the camera but the same day the case was open it closed with no refund how is that even possible anyways i owned an xa, xa2 and xa3 about a decade ago with no problems wondering if this problem is at all fixable now as john at camtech no longer services this model i've searched around a fair amount for information but couldn't find a solution any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks

the issue appears to have resolved itself somehow wish i could offer a solution to help someone else out that might end up in this predicament anyway what is the proper way of loading this camera unlike the xa or xa2 this one is auto loading and i often have to turn to the changing bag upon realizing i have loaded it incorrectly i've tried before, middle or after the red line and it seems to make no difference usually ends up clunking as i advance

My XA2 has a hair trigger shutter.
I've just had to learn to adjust (and throw away the occasional shot of the sky or floor)
