I have an Olympus XA in need of repair. It appears to meter correctly (needle / aperture reading) but the exposures are all over the place. Just firing it, it sounds like it has one shutter speed. Can anyone can anyone recommend a repair source and contact info?

I agree on zuiko.com, in general.

I guess the question is, what do you want from an XA?
You can probably buy another for less than the service charge.

Do you want a "probably good enough" camera (no shame there, I have several), or a "to spec, does what it was sold for" camera.

I have two OM-1s waiting to be sent to zuiko.com. One bought on ebay this year, one bought new in 1977. Another, already serviced, is working great (but it isn't my baby, my first real camera).

I've had an XA for a while (it was left behind at a tourist company my Mother worked at) and am reluctantly (because it is a P&S) falling in love. It has less (direct) exposure control than I'd like, but delivers damned good negatives, at least in daylight.
