Today, to relax, I decided to clean the optical path of this angle finder from dust and individual mold spots. A diagram with a list of components is available on the Internet. I disassembled the components shown in the diagram. Component CB075500, containing 3 lenses, is responsible for changing the magnification. The lower one (marked with a yellow dot) did not need cleaning, but I had to disassemble the two upper ones (identical index, marked with red dots). The upper one was positioned with a slight convexity downwards (I am 90% sure), while the lower one fell out uncontrollably and I am not sure about this.
After cleaning these and other dirty optical elements, I reassembled the viewfinder. I placed both lenses with the convex side down, assuming that the diagram shows them in the same position. Everything seems to be working properly. However, I have no experience working with this viewfinder and am unable to assess whether these two lenses are 100% correctly positioned. In the diagram, we can see that both lenses marked with red dots have identical lines on their surface, while the lens marked with a yellow dot has different lines. Is this some kind of standard for showing the convex and concave (or flat) sides of small lenses? In the case of large lenses, we have their cross-section in the diagram, but small lenses are a mystery to me.
Or maybe one of you has cleaned this viewfinder and simply knows how to install them correctly?
