Olympus 50mm F1.8. Very good condition. Snappy iris action, correct focus and mechanics. A few internal dust specks, but in general very clean class. Real nice lens. Includes original front cap and aftermarket rear cap. Price: $15 plus shipping

Canon 28mm F2.8 for Canon FD or FL. This is one of the later versions of this very popular lens. Excellent condition in all respects. I noticed one tiny coating spot on the rear element. Sold with original front cap. No rear cap, but rear surface will be carefully protected on shipping. Price: $30 plus shipping

Pentax Super-Multi-Coated Takumar in M42 mount with case. The lens optically and mechanically is in excellent condition (clean class, snappy iris, smooth mechanics) with one small exception which will not affect anyone with an SLR made after about 1950: The Auto-Manual switch is stuck in Auto position, which is how almost all current day use of this lens is likely to be in any case. The case has lots of wear. Original rear cap, aftermarket front cap. Price: $35 plus shipping

Hi,
With regard to the Pentax lens, are you sure it's stuck in auto mode? Some Pentax lenses have a tiny push button located near to the 42mm thread which must be depressed before manual mode can be selected. In normal use, this is actuated by the action of screwing the lens into the throat of the camera. Some Pentax lens throats have a small rebate machined into them which prevents manual from being selected and others don't, all relating to the age of the camera and metering system. It's just a small silver dot and is easily overlooked but if it's there you should be able to depress it enough with a fingernail to allow manual to be engaged via the lens barrel switch.
Best wishes,
Steve

Steve,

Wow! Thanks for that information. There is indeed a little silver dot that does exactly what you describe and the auto/manual switch does work! (and I thought I knew everything about M42 lenses!)

The lens is now perfect.
