Olympus OM-2n Light Leaks

Hello,

When overseas I purchased an OM-2n and was told that the camera I had purchased had a light leak. I thought when I was over there it would be a good idea to develop a whole roll of film to check the there was no major problems... which there were none (not even light leaks). However, when I developed my second roll of film today almost every photo had light leaks (but not all of them). Where can light leak into the camera apart from the back? I am more than happy to scan and post photos of the camera or the light leaked photos if that helps anyone.

Hi, I would suggest purchasing a light seal foam kit from Camtech or Ebay. The kit Camtech provides is not the self sticky type and much better, and everything is cut perfectly to fit. I just replaced the foam on my OM-2S, 4 and 4T. Camtech suggests the proper glue and you can get it at most hobby stores. Second, make sure the motor drive socket cap is installed, or at least taped up with a bit of electrical tape. Good luck

Jon is that rarity in vendors, a guy who trusts his customers. I contacted him for seals for a camera, he quoted me the price - $9.95 - I agreed and told him it would take a little time for my check to reach him. He said, "Not to worry," and shipped the kit before he received my check! The seals arrived BEFORE my check had cleared, obviously. A good product, clear instructions, a man who lives up to his name.
