I need more room on my camera shelf so I am forced with the task of getting rid of a few that I no longer use on a regular basis.
First up is my Olympus OM-1n with Zuiko 50mm 1.8 and winder 1. This camera is in pretty good shape, everything works as it should, including the meter. There are a few spots on the mirror that could probably be cleaned, they never bothered me so I left it alone. The lens is clean with no scratches or fungus, and the winder works, although it is the model that winds one shot at a time, no continuous shooting with the winder 1. $60 plus actual shipping costs.
Next is my Canon EOS A2E. I got this camera in college and used it while I was a photographer for the school yearbook. Since than, I have switched to Nikon and this poor camera has been pushed further and further back on my camera shelf. Everything works great on the camera, even the eye controlled auto focus, which is surprisingly accurate once you get it programmed. For those who might not remember way back in the 1990's Canon figured out a way to allow the camera to learn the shape of your eye and using sensors in the viewfinder the camera sensed which of the 5 focus points you were looking at. Pretty cool technology if you ask me. It works pretty good for normal use, although when I shot sports I would switch the eye control off and use the center point, much faster. It will need new batteries but other than that it is ready to be put to use. The lens that is on it is an inexpensive zoom that is having focusing troubles. I think that one of the gears in the lens is bent or something because it gets jammed when trying to focus, but it works fine in manual focus mode. All one would have to do is get a EF mount lens and put this body back to work. $40 plus actual shipping costs.
PM or email me if interested, I would love for these to go to good homes so they can get more use than I am able to give them.
