Olympus OM-1 MD in box (no foam)

Why, oh, why do I buy things I don't need? I've heard so much about the OM-1 that I had to have one.... So I did but never got a lens for it.

The shutters seem accurate but since I don't have any lenses, it's untested. The battery area is clean but the negative tab is loose and disconnected from the wire. Of course, the OM-1 is not battery dependent so the camera still works just fine. I might fix this, but if someone wants this as is, I'll just sell it as is.

Please someone buy this because I pick up a lens!

Nice camera, I was given an OM-1MD with a 50 f1.8 yesterday in pretty much mint shape, just needs new seals and a camera strap. Good luck with the sale.

It is a great gear no question about it, I solely intended to reflect to the question we had and to share certain uncertainties that may contribute to hesitation from my perspective.
If there is a prism fome removed already, I do not think if a working meter would make a big difference, that's more about personal preferences.
Someone considers such camera highly likely does not need meter anyway in most cases. [emoji2]

Have a Zuiko 50/1.8 silver eye if needed [emoji4]

That's another pain me too ...
There is a chance also for EU that it lands in the Custom office and they add a nice tag for VAT based on their price assumption ... Why is it so difficult to buy US goods?! ... I digress ... Sorry ...
