Last night on TV5 Monde Europe was a short program about French photographer Olivier Mériel. I had not heard of him before but the programme showed him setting up his view camera (8x10 I think) and making contact prints which were then taken to a gallery for exhibition.
TV5 is a French language channel available on Sky TV (805) in the UK and possibly on cable. My French listening isn't great at native speed but I got the impression that this was a series so I will look again next Tuesday. The programme was on at about 7:30 in the evening then repeated at 00:30.
The first part of the program showed him using a view camera at night taking a long exposure and 'painting in' trees with high power torches with coloured gels.
The rest of the programme involved some Photoshop manipulation of images and was less interesting to me.
If you can receive TV5, I think there is a US version too, it's worth watching.
