I inherited a Toshiba Linear lightmeter from a neighbor.
It has a CdS sensor. With a fresh 675 battery (and spacer), its reading are very close to a cellphone metering app's, which is the only reference point I have at the moment.
I am tempted to keep using it for my modest needs.
After all, the manual literally says... "One Touch" operation is good enough to obtain correct data."
The other question is, what else did "Toshiba Photographic Supplies Co.' make at the time?
The conglomerate, as a whole, was into advanced technologies, it looks like.
