Get the masonite, drill the hole, mount the lens.
I made a lens board last weekend for my B-22 XL from a round electrical box cover. It was for an 80mm Componon lens, and the mounting hole was 25mm; it was a good excuse to go to Princess Auto and buy a hole saw kit!
I drilled two holes for the mounting screws, and after a touchup with a tubular grinder, a rotary wire brush and sandpaper, a quick dunk in paint thinner and two coats of flat black paint, the lens is now mounted. And, if I may say, it is a BIG improvement over the 90mm Wollensak Raptar that I had been using!
Oh yes, don't forget to wear eye protection when drilling, cutting, sawing or boring, or working with tools in general. It is an absolute MUST!
