My name is Michael Heller
I was a newspaper photographer from the 70s-90s in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Recently, the Museum of New Mexico asked me to donate all of my images from that period.
This is a huge honor, so I set up a darkroom and, after 25 years I am back in the dark, making B&W prints.

Through all this I have also set up a You Tube channel to help aspiring Black & White photographers.
So far I have 44 videos posted, covering everything from building and wiring a darkroom, to print making examples, building equipment... and how to make Ilford fiber based paper dry flat!

I should add that your video about Ansel Adams' notebook is one of the best intro on the subject of his process I've ever seen.

By the way, I went as far as comparing the development times for HC-110 you show from his notebook to those published in The Negative, and they don't exactly match, which shows his process, eye, and taste, were always evolving and adapting.

Hey everyone! - Thanks for the kind words! I'll drop in here from time to time, but the darkroom is downstairs and the old computers I have down there won't get me online, so I have to be upstairs.
Also.. as you see, my name is Michael Heller, but my posts say Wolf Wengler (which is my email and a whole other story!) I have asked the moderator to change that to my name and I am awaiting the change.
