A friend gave me 6 rolls of exposed Ilford HP5 and 4 rolls HP4 (not Plus), in hopes of getting images. I have D-76 (1:1) at the ready. I can't find times for the old stuff though. Anyone have a suggested time? No idea when they were shot, and they were stored at room temperature, so he (and I) realize whatever I get may not be great.

I'd bet that you could use the numbers from the "new" stuff and get close enough, you could refine from there.

Thanks Mark. That's what I figured, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't some huge difference in the Plus vs Non-Plus. Interesting that there is little info out there on the old stuff (at least I couldn't find it).

All I'm saying is you're going to get in the ball park, not that you'll have a good seat.

I wouldn't do anything truly important on the first roll.

Well, it turns out the canisters were empty. As I spun the spool, I could feel and hear (what I thought was) the leader. Seems his dad asked for the empty cartridges back. Looks like I can re-use them, so that's a bonus.
