Does anyone know if Ilford keeps older versions of their data sheets archived online anywhere? I'm looking for an older version of the Perceptol datasheet -- the current one is dated 2010. Thanks.

Just the sort of question that Mr S Galley would have picked up tomorrow on return to work after the weekend and given help on within a couple of days assuming the information wasn't commercially protected. Alas that kind of Harman service has gone forever, I fear.

I hope you find an answer

Has data from 1995.
Out of curiosity why? Do you think something has changed?

Over the years the formula has varied: The 1995 Perceptol MSDS cited sodium chloride and the 2002 MSDS cited sodium bromide I understand current production is back with sodium chloride.

Why don't you ask the newly introduced (here on APUG) members of the Ilford technical support team?

Search "wayback". The actual web site has archives of major web sites over a period of years.

Thank you. That's just what I was looking for. All I wanted was times for the older formulation of T-Max 400. Maybe I'm splitting hairs, but I was looking for a baseline.

I see, but I suspect some speed loss will have occurred as I'm sure you realise. I presume a touch of Benzotriazole will still help with any age related fogging despite the T- grain nature, it will be interesting. Perhaps you xan come back to us with results?

Definitely some speed loss. This is T-Max 400 4x5 expired in 2004 or so, and always kept frozen. The recommended time for T-Max 400 according to the old Perceptol data sheet, was 12.5 minutes. I shot it at 100 and developed it in Perceptol 1+1 for 10 minutes, and a second sheet I developed for 11 minutes. The decreased time is to compensate for constant agitation in the rotary drum I'm using. Even so, I can't get the blacks (i.e. strong highlights) I'm getting with HC-110 -- and that's shot at 200. Everything is at 20C/68F. I am getting good contrast in the shadows from the Perceptol, however.
