Wow.... No body wants a FREE Beseler 23 CII in the greater Vancouver area? Maybe THAT is why I got it for so little. I can hear the bag pipes airing up for the funeral... It is not just an enlarger that you are ignoring it is the whole idea of FILM and the process it takes to make a wonderful picture. Has that digital whore taken over everyone's mind with the seduction of pixel prints? How can you sleep @ night considering everything is taken over by zeros and ones ? This enlarger has helped me through many a dark time with pictures of people laughing and having fun. As well as a few sad pictures too but it never let me down. Done with my sermon carry on....

Break the 23C down for parts and offer them for resale. The sum of the parts is worth more than the whole.

It took me like a month to find someone here to take my c700, and I live in a pretty big city.

I was reminded this week that I prefer the darkroom way more than the digital processes after having to do a ton of edits in Lightroom and ps for an event I shot last week. I lament as well for the group of shooters today that only take the process of analog photography only halfway. There is much beauty and skill about an optical print. Hell I print my students digital work on a 44 inch wide beast, and it does not compare to a well crafted silver gelatin print.

Perhaps you've already done this, but if not, maybe post a flier on a board at UBC, Trinity Western, Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Capilano? Might be slightly more work, but I would guess more rewarding than just hauling it to the dump.

Gone... Given away to someone who was VERY happy & thankful. We spent some time discussing film and its advantages. Another APUG member soon.

Offer - Paterson 4 funnel lid with cap. Classic black funnel-shaped tank lid and the snap-on top. Think I can get it in a little box and ship inside US for $3. Certainly no more than $5.35 for priority. Lightly used. PM or email.

A box with "stuff" showed up yesterday afternoon in the dark room at school. Perhaps a long over due spring cleaning.

Included a couple of old books that might be of interest to someone

Darkroom Handbook and Formulary by MOrris Aermain copyright 1941, this is the 7th printing. It is kind of cool with lots of old formulas and other tips.

For a collector can be fun,

The other book is by Tom Grimm , THe Basic Book of Photography. Pages are certainly showing it's age, but then again, good old fashion tips from another time. Copyright on this one is 1974.

I think they will both fit in a large bubble envelope and with media shipping shouldn't be expensive.

Just pay the mailing and you to can hold in your hands a view from the past

These bulbs came along with the above.

small screw in that same box. They are Kalt mini amber safelight bulbs. One has never been out of the package , the other is loose. Very light weight and I think I can find a small box , so the shipping shouldn't be very expensive.

Anyone looking for some half-frame slide mounts? Found a box of 100 Gepe 18x24 glassless plastic mounts. Yours for the postage from B0N 1Y0 in Canada. (The box has a price tag from 1968 - $16.35 then, $106.32 now, according to Bank of Canada Inflation Calculator :confused

Anyone want a Nikon N90s? It is in perfect working order, tho it shows some signs of wear, and the VF has some dust specks. Film tested with 4 rolls and there are no light leaks and problems with exposure. I got this from a fellow APUG member and I would like to pass it on to some one starting with 35mm film (or if you know someone who wants to start with film). It comes with a sigma 70-210mm UC lens (no fungus, pretty nice lens). Yours for postage or pick up at San Diego. Thanks!

I have 3 enlarger lenses that I know I won't use since I have quite a few others that I use now. If anyone that is setting up a darkroom needs any of these, they would be good to start with until a better one comes along.
PM me and I'll ship each one for $5.35 postage to the USA. I can take paypal and I'll pay the fee for it. I'll let you know my paypal address when you contact me. They are decent ones but I haven't tried any of them. All are 50mm. First come, first served. I won't be able to reply until Monday morning E.S.T.

Thanks
Richard
