Greetings from Cape Cod, a place where spring arrives in May. This old dog lost his way about 7 years back after almost 40 years as a photo- and word journalist. For whatever reason, the Muse just disappeared. I've begun photographing again, large format landscapes, but in the words of Bono, I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
Greetings Pilgrim. You have found the right place. A wide variety of discussion of both the technical and aesthetic aspects of real photography. Plenty of inspiration and fresh perspectives.
Welcome.
The part of Cape Cod I'm familiar with (Eastham to Truro) is a great place to be in any season. Welcome to APUG. People who've lost their way, or perhaps gone over to the dark side find this a terrific place to be as do the many who've never gone astray....(I'm starting to make this sound like AA or something ). I'm sure you'll like it here, and I look forward to any 'graphs you choose to post from that most special cape.
Welcome from the other end of the state. I was down in your neck of the woods last weekend - and quite glad it was last weekend and not this one!
Keep an eye on the New England Region for any get togethers.
Well, as long as the old dog's got some hunt in him you've come to the right place. There's over 19,000 members here who don't have THE ANSWER and we're still hunting.
Welcome from Sydney. Made a brief trip to the Cape back in 1991 and occasionally drag out my copy of Joel Meyerowitz's Cape Light book and drool over his fine colour photographs from that region. I'm sure you will find your kingdom but hopefully all your colours won't bleed into one...
Though I missed the workshop on the cape that Drew ran last week I'm a fan of your neck of the woods - retreated to Orleans back in the early 70's and lived there for a year getting my life back on track. As Gene has said, there are lots of NE-apuggers out here, so watch for gatherings... and welcome to the old hunters' club.
Welcome from NYC. Folks here have plenty of good ideas and thoughts that should help you find you Muse. Have a check through The Gallery too - there are some great shooters here!
