In my ancient stash locker I have a wide variety of unopened chemistry, including D-76, Dektol, Selectol, a couple of Edwal developers, various wet and dry fixers and other stuff. Oh, an unopened gallon of Selinium toner. Bunch of other stuff. Is there much use in tring to use these or should they be disposed? Bill Barber

Just this week I opened a 12 year-old packet of powdered D-76, mixed it up and the results were great. You never know, but if you're unsure you probably shouldn't try any of it on mission critical negatives at first. I can't speak to the paper chemistry, though.

You should ship them all to me for proper disposal. They won't do you any good, so I will use , er I mean dispose of them properly.

Rick, I'm overwhelmed by your offer to dispose of my bits. You are too kind, I couldn't impose on you. <{B^)

Here is a list of most of the stuff. I would be interested if anyone has suggestions on what to keep and what to throw away (dispose of properly.)

Sodium Thiosulfate 7 or 8 lbs.
Hyroquinone
Selectol-soft deveolper
D-76 several packages
Kodak Hypo Clearing agent ( a bunch)
Pyrocatechnol 100+ grams
Potasium Bromide
Kodak Croein Scarlet 2 OZ
28% Acetic Acid Several bottles
Agfa Neutol WA
Kodak Rapid Fix with Hardner 35 oz (2 of these)
ethol LPD paper deveolper 447 grams
Acufine 2.1 oz can X 2
Rodinal 4oz
Sodium Sulfate
Potassium ferocyanide
Potassium citrate
copper sulfate
Kodalith fine-line developer set (part A & B)
Farmers reducer

That has most of it, althought there is some toner and a few other smaller items. The toner looks dead, although unopened.

The packaged developers and fix are most likely still good to use. The bulk chems, if you are mixing your own formulae, should be good, otherwise dispose. If you think they are good, but don't use, sell them. Sounds like you have enough stop to last a lifetime.
