Old Agfa Insignia went pink

I have some very expired Agfa Insignia paper that I fixed out to use as a support for carbon prints. However, the fixed out paper has a pink hue. Then I tried to bleach the the previously fixed out paper in ferri to see if that would remove the pink hue and it only got pinker.

Any suggestions on how I might be able to fix out the paper and not get a pink hue? I probably screwed this up somehow.

Try acidified Sodium Sulfite. This might work. I would say, acetic acid at pH about 3 - 4.

I don't have glacial acetic acid. The acids I do have are HCl, Oxalic, Citric and vinegar (5% acetic).

So maybe a 5% Sodium Sulfite solution and then add acid to adjust pH?

Yes. IDK about Oxalic though.
