Good Afternoon All,

I have a fairly large stockpile of 70mm aerial film, almost all of this stuff is OLD OLD OLD - we're talking 10+ years since it's prime, but I'd like to see if any of it is still viable. I'm having a hard time coming up with info on most of the films... While I do have some limited data, most of what I can find lists information based on ISO-A / EAFS (Equivalent Aerial Film Speed) which Kodak cautions is different than standard ISO used for non-aerial work, but doesn't go on to offer any information on converting ISO-A to ISO etc.

Here's what I have... if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Aero LX - Film 2408 - EAFS 50 - B&W Pan Negative w/ Extended Red
Aerochrome MS - Film 2448 - EAFS 32 - Color Reversal
Aerochrome - Film 2443 - EAFS 40 - Infrared False Color Reversal
Panatomic-X Aerographic II - Film 2412 - EAFS 32 - B&W Neg. w/ Extended Red
Plus-x / Aerecon II - Film 3404 - EAFS 125 - B&W Neg w/ Extended Red

Thanks,

John IV

10 years old is practically new compared to the stuff I shoot. The B&W stuff shouldn't be any problem at all. There's a few older threads on here for the last two films. One had exposure and development times from Jim Galli.

Here's one:

Chances are that the IR film is no good. The extended red film may be bad as well.

It is easy to test with a snip from the end of the roll.
