This should be very nice. I saw her own museum in Santa Fe a couple of years ago. Included her paintings too. Very nice.

I wonder what those photos look like? O'Keeffe's paintings are not in many museums, so it's good to see some access to her works. Obviously, she was spurned on by Steiglitz, but I feel she's a somewhat over rated artist who is known more for her life than the work she left behind. She's been romanticized in films and words, but when you see the paintings in person they're smaller than you expect, and the colors are less vibrant than the reproductions we normally associate w/ her. Those big 60's posters of her flowers look more impressive.

Here's a sample of what might be seen. These probably wouldn't be exhibited if not for O'Keefe's name being attached to them. The photos shown on this link are not really photographs, as she herself stated, but impressions.

Yes, she was definitely into flowers.

Or vaginas, as the press and critics saw it. Makes for good publicity and sales. I do like those paintings of hers though, and a few others she made of the American Southwest, a place of incredible light and shadow. When I look at the sky out here, it sometimes looks like a Dali painting.
